Wing restaurant opens in Martin

Best Wings in Martin, which opened on March 30, is the newest restaurant to come to Martin.

Best Wings in Martin hosts an assorted food menu, competitive prices and a quickly growing fan base.

Robert Spraggins, owner of Best Wings in Martin and Bethel alumni, said, ā€œAlthough Iā€™m from Memphis, I have family here and we visited frequently. But there was never had a food place that had our favorite food – wings.ā€

Their menu consists of wings, hamburgers, turkey burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, salads, catfish, chicken and waffles, and chicken tenders. Sides include corn nuggets, seasoned fries and fried okra.

Their wing sauces are lemon pepper, honey gold, mild, hot, honey hot, suicide and seasoned.

According to Best Wings in Martin, their best sellers have been the honey gold wings and the fish plate.

ā€œThe food is cooked straight from the soul,ā€ Spraggins said.

Katelyn Walker, a Martin resident says, ā€œThey have amazing food, great prices and friendly service. I got the honey gold wings and corn nuggets and they were amazing! I canā€™t wait to come back and try the fish plate.ā€

Trisdan Ragland, a senior Information Systems major from Jackson, said he needs to eat there again to render his final verdict, but he enjoyed the food.

“Being right next to the school, it’s in a great location because it’s accessible to just about anyone,” Ragland said. “It’s always refreshing to see new businesses in Martin, especially a wing place. And they have college friendly hours, so that’s an additional bonus.”

They are currently have a 5-star rating on Facebook and come highly recommended by anyone who has already had a chance to dine with them.

Best Wings in Martin is closed Sunday and Monday, but is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. ā€“ 3 p.m. They are located at 120 Hurt Street next to Bradley Book Company.Ā
