Voice It!: Latest game addiction: 2048

Screenshot_2014-04-16-20-24-43voiceitlogoIf you’re looking for a new game to try, you might want to check out the game 2048.

This game was created by a 19-year-old just last month and has already had well over 5 million players. It is a numbers game that is based on matching and building. It is a really simple game to understand, but challenging at the same time.

Until recently, I was a huge fan of Candy Crush. I loved the fact that it didn’t require huge amounts of time in order to complete levels. This type of distraction worked well with my schedule. I could do a level in-between assignments giving my brain a couple of minutes to recharge for the next big task.

This worked fine until I got to about level 107. That’s when there started to be so many bombs going off every few seconds that it wasn’t fun anymore. I needed something to help me unwind and all it did was wind me up tighter. When I finally figured that out, I said goodbye to Candy Crush and deleted the app off my phone.

That’s what led me to search for a new game to take Candy Crush’s place, and that’s when I discovered 2048. So far my highest score is 6760.

Have any of you ever played 2048?
