The 53rd annual UTM Spring College Rodeo kicks off this weekend and is considered to be one of the biggest events on campus. Action for Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s performance is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Ned Ray McWherter Agricultural Pavilion and NW (Doc) Arena.
With the ongoing pandemic and social distancing regulations, attendance is limited to one-third capacity. Tickets were launched online Monday, March 15 at 6 p.m. and quickly sold out for the first time this season. There will be no walk-up ticket sales for the rodeo this year. Tickets will be available for early pickup at the Dunagan Alumni Center on Wednesday, April 14th from 1-5 p.m. Any tickets not picked up Wednesday will be available at will call the night of the performance. A copy of the online ticket and a photo ID are required as proof to receive tickets. Fans are also required to wear masks upon entry.
Thursday’s performance is sponsored by Tyson, Obion County Complex. Friday’s performance is sponsored by Tennessee Tractor, LLC and is Black Out Night to raise money for the Ashley Brooks Memorial Scholarship Fund. Timed and rough stock events will take place each night, while Saturday’s action will include the top-10 Ozark Region contestants from the opening rounds competing in the Championship Finals sponsored by Martin Paving Company.
All three performances will be streamed for $10 per session at https://tickets.goldbuckleseating.com as well as heard locally on Star 95.1 FM.
