SAC’s annual Foam party began at 7 p.m. Tuesday night on the south lawn behind the University Center.
The party’s disc jockey was provided by Official DJ’s Unlimited, of Martin.
“I love when SAC has events like these. They’re a lot of fun,” said Corey Morris, a junior.
The event featured glow sticks and multiple showers to clean off the “foam” and dirt.
“There really are a lot of freshmen here this year. I’m glad they came out,” said Kresarah Hibler, an underclassmen.
SAC, also known as the Student Activities Council, holds many events, such as the 9:09 comedy shows, Sunday movie night and special events for holidays.
“I think having the shower made it more convenient for those who wanted to get in the foam, and the glow sticks really made it a party! said Tabitha Edwards, of SAC. “This just one of many events SAC holds during the year. We try to have as many events as we can and make campus as fun as possible.”
All SAC events are free and they already have a lot of great events planned.
“This year’s foam party was very successful and had a great turn out. People had fun and we can’t wait for next year’s foam party,” Tabitha Edwards said.
Events coming soon are the Sunday movie night and the 9:09 comedy show.
This Sunday’s movie night will be showing The Wolverine, it will be showing at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The first 9:09 comedy will be on Aug. 28, and will feature comedian Chris Cubas.
