The Student Success Center’s Career Employment Services office held a campus-wide career fair on Nov. 7 in the Boling University Center. The career fair had 43 employment representatives that attended and each college at UTM had job opportunities available.
“A tip when searching for a job is to think outside of the box,” said UTM’s Career Employment Coordinator Candace Goad.
The career fair offered many different options when searching for a job, and the vendors were willing to help in any way possible. Dupoint Pioneer Hi-Bred International was represented, and they enjoyed speaking with everyone, even if someone’s major wasn’t agriculture. Many other businesses were represented as well, such as Regions Bank, Career Coach, C.H. Robinson World Wide, INC., Bethel University and many more.
When it comes time to graduate, most people start stressing about finding a job and do not take advantage of the opportunities available to them. UTM is willing to help the students and offer a career fair. So next time the career fair is in the University Center, take time to talk to a few representatives and you might just land a job.
