Living in war times is a hard lifestyle to get used to. With the current Iraq war and the rising problems on the home front, the rise of the nuclear warfare looms on the horizon. In recent developments intelligence reports that Iran is creating nuclear weapons Iran says its nuclear facilities were built to support a peaceful energy program; the Bush administration disagrees. The launching of an outright war using nuclearĀ warheads against Iran is now in the final planning stages.
Coalition partners, which include the US, Israel and Turkey are in “an advanced stage of readiness.” The Pentagon, acting under instructions from Vice President Dick Cheneyās office, has tasked the United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM) with drawing up a contingency plan to be employed in case of an attack on the U.S or Israel. The plan includes a large-scale air assault on Iran employing both conventional and tactical nuclear weapons.
In turn, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has given the green light to the Israeli Armed Forces to launch the attacks by the end of March: All top Israeli officials have pronounced the end of next month as the deadline for launching a military assault on Iran. The end of next monthās date also coincides with the IAEA report to the UN on Iran’s nuclear energy program. Israeli policymakers believe that their threats may influence the report, or at least force the kind of ambiguities, which can be exploited by its overseas supporters to promote Security Council sanctions or justify Israeli military action. The State of The Union speech given by Pres. Bush stated that if Iran didnāt cooperate with the UN or NATO that America is ready and willing to once again terminate the threat, if Israel doesnāt act first.
