The 2025 Grammys was a record-breaking and star-studded event. With every red carpet event, there are some questionable, avant-garde looks and classic, timeless pieces. It can be hard to balance not being boring and not being too out there. That being said, in my opinion, these celebrities are the best and worst dressed this year:
The Best
Sabrina Carpenter – Before swiping up two Grammy’s for her hit album “Short ‘n’ Sweet”, Carpenter walked the carpet in custom JW Anderson. It was a pastel blue and feathery look that had a twist on an old Hollywood style. The blonde bombshell stuns and continues to pull out more looks for her performance and acceptances, making her one of the best dressed of the night.
Chappell Roan – This Best New Artist Grammy winner wore Jean Paul Gaultier on the red carpet. Chappell Roan is known for her daring and eccentric style, and though this look is just that, it’s so cohesive. The crazy makeup look and hair piece tie this all together in an almost alternative Victorian way.
Kendrick Lamar – There are arguments over if denim on denim is a fashion sin or not, but no one can deny that Lamar pulled off this Maison Margiela outfit in a great way. This denim hat, denim jacket, and jeans wearer won every category he was nominated for this year in a twist that wasn’t your usual black suit.
The Worst
Jaden Smith – Arguably one of the most talked about celebrities of the night, Smith showed up in Louis Vuitton. The outfit itself is nothing new or notable; what’s more of the problem with this outfit is the headpiece that he wore all night. It was just a black house on his head. I think my personal question here is: just why?
Kacey Musgraves – This Grammy winner is such a gorgeous woman that she can almost pull off anything, but this Ralph Lauren look, in my opinion, isn’t good for her. The skirt is gold with tinsel-like embellishments, and then it’s paired with a plain white tank top and a mixed metal belt. I think all of these things could be paired with another outfit on their own. There is no denying her beauty, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good outfit.
Jacob Collier – Fifteen-time Grammy nominee Jacob Collier wears one of the most bizarre Grammy outfits. Marta Del Rio designs a very sparkly rainbow outfit. In my mind, this is like a rip-off of Harry Styles’ past looks. Overall, very visually displeasing.
