Tarantino finds a Polanski

The cast of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood continues to grow as he adds Polish actor Rafal Zawierucha as Roman Polanski.

The story of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood revolves around a fading Western star (Leonardo DiCpario) and his stunt double (Brad Pitt) as they wonder where their place in Hollywood is during the transitions from the 1960s to 1970s.

DiCaprio’s character lives next door to Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) who is murdered by Charles Manson followers.

Because of Manson’s significant role in this story and Tate’s relationship to Polanski, many critics and fans wondered how Polanski may be written in to the story. The Hollywood Reporter was able to satiate the rumors when they released word of Zawierucha’s casting.

As of right now, it is unknown how much screen time the Polanski character will have and it is still unknown if Manson’s character will even have a large part to play in the film.

The Hollywood Reporter also noted the additions of Danny Strong, Sydney Sweeney, Clu Gulager, James Landry Hebert and Mickey Madison.

With the six recent additions, this rounds the cast to a total of 58 players, which makes people wonder if the cast is too large. However, due to the Pulp Fiction nature of the film, audience members are sure to understand once the puzzle is put together.

Additional cast members include Lena Dunham, Maya Hawke, Timothy Olyphant, Damien Lewis, Luke Perry, Dakota Fanning, James Marsden, Clifton Collins, Keith Jefferson, Emile Hirsch, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Scoot McNairy, Al Pacino, Nicholas Hammond, and the late Burt Reynolds. However, it has not yet been released how his character will be involved since his passing.

Though this is a big budget film as far as casting is concerned, for a film about a tumultuous time in Hollywood, it’s understood that only the best can do the job, even if that job only portrays a few lines. Cameos don’t always break the bank, but they often make the movie.

The production for the film is continuing with its expected release date to be July 26, 2019.
