Over the past week, UT Martin hosted Greek Week, in which organizations from the College Panhellenic Council (CPC), Interfraternity Council (IFC) and The National Pan-Hellenic Council Inc. (NPHC) presented different aspects of what it means to be Greek in college. The week began with a service night led by guest speaker Ashton Sawyers, Coordinator of Greek Life at Vanderbilt University and member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and UT Martin Alumni. Sawyer spoke on building leadership skills and connections within the community. The night concluded with a NARCAN kit workshop which showed students how to administer it correctly. Tuesday, March 12 was the annual line dance, which was held in the UT Martin Fieldhouse. Each council had its own respective winners with Alpha Omicron PI(AOll), Sigma Alpha Epsilon(SAE), and Phi Beta Sigma taking first place. Thursday, March 14, food trucks came to Martin to provide a different taste to every student who attended. To conclude the week of festivities, the annual CPC and IFC Step Show was held in the UT Martin Fieldhouse. Zeta Tau Alpha(ZTA) and Kappa Alpha Order (KA) won first place for their councils, with ZTA taking the trophy for best in the show.
