Sports Fashion: First LeagueFits Magazine

For this edition of sports fashion, there is one thing to focus on: the release of LeagueFits First magazine in partnership with SLAM.

In this new LeagueFits magazine, they chose between three Basketball players to mainly represent the first edition. Those three are NBA guard Jordan Clarkson, WNBA guard Nika Muhl, and, for the cover of the magazine, none other than NBA guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Let’s start with the most unique photo shoot of the three, Jordan Clarkson. This shoot is the wildest of three, considering Clarkson is literally kicking a sofa pillow. Now, it’s not his only photo of the shoot, but I had to put it just because of how interesting it was. I can not tell you why they went for the kicking-the-pillow photo, but they did, and personally, I love it. Also, in typical fashion for Clarkson, he is mostly seen wearing black, so they had to do at least one outfit for him doing so. Now, let’s actually talk about the outfit. Clarkson is seen wearing a white Chrome Hearts tank top, black leather pants, and black platform boots. Clarkson also shows lots of detail with his jewelry and wallet chain.

In the last edition of sports fashion, we had our first WNBA player, Cameron Brink, and personally, it surprises me that Nika Muhl was not the first WNBA player featured. My reason for that is, in my personal opinion, Muhl is the best-dressed WNBA player. I think that Muhl being chosen for the First Leaguefits Magazine is great and well deserved. In this past WNBA season, we saw her not only in outfits similar to the one pictured above but also going outside the box all season with tremendous outfits. Now, for this article, I chose this outfit also because it was a personal favorite of mine that she wore for the photo shoot. Here, she is seen wearing a black sports bra with denim on a denim matching set, which she also pairs with a pair of black heels.

Lastly, we have the man, the myth and the legend of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. A very well-deserved cover, Gilgeous-Alexander is the obvious favorite in sports fashion and will continue to hold that title. Gilgeous-Alexander also just got his first signature shoe released By Converse, which he is wearing in the photo above. An on-court basketball shoe called the Shai 001. I believe the shoe will be a big hit not only across the NBA but also in college, high school, and more. Now for the outfit, Gilgeous-Alexander is wearing a white t-shirt, khaki-colored pants and a fur coat, which he paired with his new signature shoe, the Shai 001. He also adds detail to his jewelry pieces.
