This Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m., the Charleston Southern Buccaneers will be coming to Graham Stadium to face the UT Martin Skyhawks for their homecoming game.
The Skyhawks will be looking to improve their strong record of five wins and one loss while the Buccaneers will be looking to get above .500 as they currently sit at three wins and three losses on the season.
The Skyhawks have had an amazing rushing offense this season, averaging 256 yards a game. This will be a tough matchup for the Buccaneers, as they have been allowing an average of 178.5 rushing yards a game.
The Skyhawks’ defense is in line to have a big day versus the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers’ offense has been pedestrian this season averaging 17.16 points a game and 223 total yards a game. They also have given up six turnovers this season, with four thrown interceptions and two fumbles lost. The Skyhawks’ defense will be looking to capitalize off the Buccaneers’ sloppy play as the Skyhawks have forced five interceptions so far this season.
Expect a good matchup between the Skyhawks and the Buccaneers, but remember the phrase “any given day,” a phrase used about sports as the outcomes are some of the most unpredictable things in life.
