UT Martin recently held elections for all cabinet positions within the Student Government Association (SGA) for the 2025-2026 school year.
SGA represents the student body and voices the opinions of students across all UT Martin campuses and online programs. They also work alongside the chancellor’s office to provide all students with a better college experience in all areas.
Collaborations with Freshman council, Student alumni council and more organizations help SGA reach every student in uniquely different ways.
Senate meetings are held every other Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the University Center Legislative Chamber. Meeting notes are available online at SGA One Spacepage.
Below are your official SGA officers:

Hello! My name is Ella Self and I am a junior Graphic Design major. I will be the Vice President of the Student Government Association for the 2025-2026 school year. My plan for the role of Vice President is to help guide our incoming Freshman Council members during their time in SGA and through their first year in college. I hope to advise and prepare them to become involved community members at UT Martin who are confident in their abilities to listen to student issues and concerns with the goal of bettering our campus and community.
Hello! My name is Chayil Watkins, and I am a junior majoring in Agricultural Business. I am truly honored to serve the University of Tennessee at Martin as the SGA Secretary General.
