Santa’s Village will continue its legacy that can be tracked by the amount of items that it has helped collect for those less fortunate. Santa’s Village had raised over $1 million in donations in history.
Santa’s Village will continue the tradition of giving to the community in its 31st year, Dec. 10th-15th. More than 300,000 people have visited the holiday wonderland that is located in the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex here at UTM.
Times are from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 10-11; 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Dec. 12 and 1-5 p.m. on Dec. 13.
Santa’s Village will feature an enchanted forest, a petting farm and MTD model train display. WLJT’s Daniel Tiger will be at the Village Saturday, Dec. 12th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Admission is free, however, it is suggested that people bring a donation of $5 worth of nonperishable foods and/or toys.
“Santa’s Village is a wonderful family-orientated holiday event and we encourage people to come and out and visit. We give thanks to the sponsors and volunteers who contribute time and money,” Said Kim Kirby, Martin Parks and Recreation Department Program Director.
The City of Martin and UTM are co-sponsors for the event. Additional sponsors include Zaxby’s, Casey’s General Store, Simmons Bank, MTD Products and Savant Learning Systems.
