President’s roundtable meeting provides input

The Student Organization President’s Roundtable Meeting was on Tuesday, March 2 in the University Center. The President’s Roundtable offers a chance for any of the organizations on campus to provide input, as well as find out what activities are happening on campus.

David Taylor welcomed the representatives from the organizations. Many activities were planned for the month of March.

“Take a Dive” for Recycling was from March 1-5. Groups were asked to sort through trash collected from around campus and pull out the recyclables.

2010 Census jobs pay $11.25 an hour. The next meeting will be Thursday, March 11 at 5:00 pm in the Paul Meek Library. Service hours are available.

The Kick for the Cure soccer game was March 6. The team requested $2 from every member in every organization.

Sodexo’s monthly brunch was Sunday, March 7 in the Skyhawk Dining Hall.

Dr. Michelle Merwin, Associate Professor of Psychology, was the Academic Speaker Thursday, March 4 in Watkins Auditorium. She spoke on “Lincoln’s Destiny and Will: The Writings of Rollo May Visible in the Life of the Great Emancipator.”

Spring Preview Day is March 27. The Organizational Fair will be from 8:00 am-9:30 am.

Student Organizations Travel Fund proposals are due in the Office of Student Life by 3:00 pm March 9. This is for academic organizations only.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 6 at 8:00 pm in UC 229.
