Prediction: Who is walking away with a 2025 Grammy Award?

The 2025 Grammy Awards will be held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Here are my predictions for the following categories:

Record of the Year

Nominations: Now and Then by the Beatles, Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter, TEXAS HOLD ‘EM by Beyoncé, 360 by Charli xcx, BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish, Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar, Good Luck, Babe! by Chappell Roan and Fortnight by Taylor Swift Featuring Post Malone

This one is going to be a tough one. With Taylor Swift just ending her ERAs tour, she will be hard to beat. Six female pop artists being in this category may give Kendrick Lamar an advantage. This is in no way diminishing the Beatles success. They have been Grammy nominated 25 times, winning seven.

Prediction: Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar

Album of the Year

Nominations: New Blue Sun by André 3000, COWBOY CARTER by Beyoncé, Short n’ Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter, Brat by Charli xcx, Djesse Vol. 4 by Jacob Collier, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT by Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan The Rise and Fall Of A Midwest Princess by Chappell Roan and THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT by Taylor Swift.

Once again, Taylor Swift will be hard to beat in this category. I do believe it will be hard to choose between Swift and Roan’s albums. Chappell Roan has gained a large amount of popularity not only with her music but with her attitude toward paparazzi, both keeping her in the spotlight. Beyoncé’s album stayed number one on Billboard charts for two weeks while Taylor Swifts stayed for 15 weeks.

Prediction: THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT by Taylor Swift

Song of the Year

Nominations: A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey, BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish, Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, Fortnight by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone, Good Luck Babe! by Chappell Roan, Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar, Please Please Please by Sabrina Carpenter and TEXAS HOLD ‘EM by Beyoncé

TEXAS HOLD ‘EM by Beyoncé became a top song in 2024 since it was on Beyoncé’s breakthrough country album. Billie Eilish’s song became the most streamed song of 2024 on Spotify, so I think this song is real competition for this category. Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us charted on Billboards Hot Rap Songs chart for a record 21 weeks, making this song stand out against the rest.

Prediction: Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar

Best Pop Solo Performance

Nominations: BODYGUARD by Beyoncé, Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter, Apple by Charli xcx, BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish and Good Luck Babe! by Chappell Roan

This one is a difficult one to predict. Each song showed the vocal strengths of each artist. In Beyoncé’s BODYGUARD we hear something different than what her previous songs sound like. Good Luck Babe! by Chappell Roan shows a diverse vocal range during the song, making it a tough competitor. Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso was the first song released from her album Short ‘n’ Sweet, though I don’t believe this is the song from the album that would make her take home the Grammy.

Prediction: Good Luck Babe! by Chappell Roan

This will be the 67th annual Grammy Awards. There will be a total of 94 awards given out. Artists such as Sierra Ferrell, Knocked Loose and many more are nominated in different categories. Coverage of the red carpet event will start at 5:30 CST on grammy.com.
