9/5 Trump tweets that he will be allowing South Korea and Japan to increase the quantity of military equipment purchased from the U.S. government after the latest North Korean missile tests.

9/6 President Trump announces that his administration will rescind DACA but with a six-month delay, thus giving Congress until March to find a solution for all sides.

9/7 During a press conference, President Trump remarks that the increase in military spending which has occurred since his inauguration would make for a, “very sad day for North Korea,” should those weapons be employed.

9/8 Trump’s decision on DACA prompts the University of California to file a law suit against the president, following fifteen other states and the District of Columbia, that have already filed.

9/9 President Trump convenes a high-level panel to evaluate the country’s nuclear arsenal and to determine options for the program, including if a smaller, “low-yield’ tactical weapon for aircraft and personnel use would be a viable option.

9/10 Hurricane Irma causes experts to question the U.S. government’s ability to aid those in need. Hurricane Jose and wildfires keep safety in jeopardy.

9/11 U.N. Security Council approves ban on North Korean exports of coal, iron, lead and seafood as well as bans other countries from importing North Korean goods or issuing work permits for North Korean citizens. North Korea vows retaliation against the U.S. for the U.N. sanctions.

9/12 Supreme Court allows the restrictive policy on refugees to stand. Justices will hear arguments over the legality of banning Muslim travelers and worldwide refugees on Oct. 10.

9/13 In response to “lack of cooperation” from Cambodia, Eritrea, Guinea and Sierra Leone when dealing with deported nationals, U.S. sanctions prevent certain visas from being issued to people from those countries wishing to enter the U.S.

9/16 After the UN’s condemnation of the missile launch over Japan, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said his aim to be equals with the United States in military strength is almost complete.

9/17 Senator Mitch McConnell tries to amend Obamacare through a bill to reduce the government’s role in the healthcare system.

9/18 President Trump will give his first speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Sept. 19, with focus on the Iranian government and people.
