While there is only one big change this week, we had several changes in the second and third place spots for each award.
MVP: Lamar Jackson | QB | Ravens
Jackson has already thrown the same amount of touchdowns (TDs) this season as he did last year (24). I do not know if that speaks more to saying last year’s win was weak or this year is just that strong. Jackson is playing at an insane level and there is no way around it; he is currently the best QB in football and this is a QB award.

2. Joe Burrow | QB | Bengals +1
3. Justin Herbert | QB | Chargers -NEW-
OPOY: Ja’Marr Chase | WR | Bengals
Overall, this has been a tough award to pick this year and I feel as if the list changes a lot. Just unreal by Chase, 11 catches, 264 yards and three TDs. Chase has been on a tear this year with teammate Joe Burrow. This strong game gave him the boost he needed to put him first in the Offensive Player of the Year (OPOY) race.

2. Derrick Henry | RB | Ravens -1
3. Chuba Hubbard | RB | Panthers -NEW-
DPOY: Trey Hendrickson | EDGE | Bengals
No one really moved this week defensively to give a huge boost in saying “Oh well he deserves it over this person.” With that being said, several players did have impressive weeks, hence why Kerby Joseph is listed below. Hendrickson, similar to most, just had another good week that did not really shock the stat sheet but did enough to keep him at first in the Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) race.

2. Dexter Lawrence II | DT | Giants +/-0
3. Kerby Joseph | S | Lions -NEW-
OROY: Jayden Daniels | QB | Commanders
Just like I said last week, this is Daniels’ award to lose still, and that is not going to happen at the rate he is playing compared to the other offensive rookies. With that being said, Daniels is coming off a pretty poor game where he threw at 50 percent completion and zero TDs. To be fair to him, though, he was playing the arguably best defense in football.

2. Bo Nix | QB | Broncos -NEW-
3. Brock Bowers | TE | Raiders -1
DROY: Jared Verse | EDGE | Rams
Just like Daniels, this is Verse’s to lose and I doubt that happens. Unlike Daniels, Verse is coming off a very good game this past week, one sack, four tackles, one run stop, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Verse did what few rookies can do, dominate a very good veteran left tackle (LT).

3. Quinyon Mitchell | CB | Eagles -1
