Make this a summer to always remember

Summer is almost here; Fifteen weeks of hard work to earn a letter on a piece of paper is ending and it’s time to unwind, relax and enjoy more time spent doing the things you love.

Although TV shows and movies often portray summer as countless hours playing video games or spending time with friends, every college student knows this really isn’t true. Internships, jobs, summer classes and every other adult responsibility occupy our summers. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t make time to relax and enjoy your summer.

Although we often have responsibilities, the summer does offer us more time and opportunities to do the things we enjoy. This is the time for a day on the lake, a night out with friends, or a crazy adventure. This is the time to create memories. A time to try new things and a time to step out of your comfort zone, whatever it may be. Things will fade, but a memory created with people you love will never pass away.

Everyone has a bucket list, but sometimes those things you have always wanted to do turn into something you have never decided to fully do. There is no better time to do those than this summer. This is the summer to do them. Make an impromptu trip to Florida. Rent a pontoon boat for a day. Go on a zip line. Go skydiving! You will not regret it and the memories you make will be invaluable.

This is the summer to have fun and make memories. Go out there and do what you have always wanted to do.
