The Paul Meek Library now has a new resource available for students to charge their devices quickly.
The two charging stations, called Kwikboosts, contain 10 different types of cables, allowing for laptops, Apple devices and Android phones to be fully charged in 45 minutes. These stations are located on the second floor of the Library and in the 24-hour computer lab.
The Library is pleased to be able to offer this service to UTM.
“We are always delighted to offer new services to our students, faculty and staff,” said Library Director Dr. Charles A. Julian.
The stations were purchased through facility funds, which Julian says are funds dedicated to benefiting students at UTM.
Since this service is open to the public, Julian warns those who use the stations to keep an eye on their electronic devices while they are charging.
“Make sure that your device is always within eyeshot. The Library cannot be responsible for any property which gets stolen from the charging stations,” Julian said.
Julian added that the Library is always looking for ways to serve the students through their services.
“The Library is interested in knowing how we can best serve our users, [so] don’t hesitate to contact us with your ideas and suggestions,” Julian said.
