The Career Planning and Development Center at UT Martin put together a delightful event for students to learn tips and tricks on how to land internships. This event took place on Feb. 11, 2025. Amidst this event, many speakers stood up to the students and advised them on how to prepare and apply for an internship. The list of speakers included one of our very own, Kameron Echols, the Director of Multicultural Affairs; Weakly County’s Director of the Chamber of Commerce; Erica Moore, The President and CEO of Discovery Park of America; Scott Williams and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Alumni Relations, Dr. Jackie Johnson and small tips here and there from Mr. Luke Love and Mrs. Katie Mantooth from our Career Planning and Development Center. These speakers gave out handouts and ideas to the students in attendance to guide not only their thinking but also their whole perception of internships, where to go for them, and how to get them.
