
I Heart UTM week still strived, even with the rain!
This past week, The University of Tennessee at Martin hosted its annual I Heart UTM week for its students, faculty and alumni. This week kicked off with the crumbl cookie giveaway on Tuesday morning on the north patio. Tuesday also included SGA (Student Government Association) elections from 10am-6pm, SGA’s Carnival Craze, which help inflatables, food and games. Lastly on Tuesday, UTM’s residence life and Flight crew hosted a Crawfish Boil. On Wednesday, The Student Alumni Council (SAC), held the class of 2025 Senior drive thru at the Dunagan Alumni Center where they gave them orange crush and blueberry muffins. SAC also hosted Dog Days, where you could bring your dog for pup cups and games and enjoy hotdogs. The Care Corner held a night of consent bingo as well, and to follow that the Minecraft movie was shown on behalf of Flight crew. Thursday consisted of the petting zoo and chilling in the quad hosted by SAC. The first lady, Rafielle Freeman, hosted a fitness class at the student recreation center. On Friday, SAC had a free t-shirt giveaway if you brought four food items, the Care Team hosted a cookout with hotdogs and hamburgers, the Student Success Center had a registration celebration and Student Health and Counseling held a wellness fair; with all of these events taking place on the north patio. To wrap of the week on Saturday and Sunday, the baseball and softball team had a game against Western Illinois.
