It’s getting to be the time of year again that all UTM students are accustomed to, but still dread: finals week.
The week before finals is no joke either, as a lot of papers, projects and other assignments are due, which is made even more stressful when you add in working a job and studying for finals.
With the two most stressful weeks of the school year upon us, we at The Pacer encourage everyone not just to stay on top of school work, but to also make sure that everyone pays mind to their physical and mental health.
We hope that students utilize some of their free time in these few weeks before school ends to study and work. However, school isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon.
Studying and work is required to complete the marathon that is college, but it’s going to be a much more difficult marathon if studying and working is all you do.
During your hours of coffee drinking and studying, please make sure that you take some time for yourself.
Take breaks every so often during your time spent working. Whether it be going to the gym, watching TV, seeing friends or whatever, breaks are important to not only staying sane but also effective studying.
Don’t spend every waking moment working these couple of weeks, but also don’t piddle around. Just like most things in life, moderation is the key.
Go out and slay those finals, Skyhawks. For those of you not graduating or leaving school, we’ll see you next semester.
