Fall Preview Day is an annual event hosted by numerous universities across the United States. Traditionally, fall preview day(s) begin around September and can take place through the beginning of November. UT Martin has had an opportunity to showcase the beauties of campus for high school juniors and seniors aspiring to become Skyhawks in the 2024-25 academic school year once this semester. The last fall preview day took place on Sept. 16, 2023.

Fall preview day offers students an immersive experience into college life and the day-to-day as a student at UT Martin. On Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, future students will begin with registration gathered at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. From there, families and students will be served brunch and an informational overview of the day and events.

At 11:00 a.m., students will then be welcomed and given an overview of the admissions process and decisions. Admissions decisions are students being granted the ability to be entered into the university. Likely, an application demonstration will be provided during this time.

Following this, a student panel will be available to answer questions from students and from family members. This can include questions about student organizations and involvement, athletics, and activities around Martin.

At 12:00 p.m., students will be given tours around academic departments. These tours will cover all major colleges and areas of study on campus to give students a better understanding of what UT Martin has to offer. This can also show students different areas of study or majors to pursue. Finally, fall preview day will close between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., where students will be given the chance to have break-out sessions, explore campus, visit dorms and many more activities. This will be an important day to demonstrate what UT Martin has to offer to future students and showcase the exciting transition into college life!
