‘Fall’ in love with these fun activities

The leaves are changing colors and the temperature is dropping, which means it’s fall! There are plenty of fun activities to do during the fall season in and around Martin, so grab your friends, a warm jacket, and enjoy these autumnal activities.

Go visit the Green Acres Pumpkin Patch in Milan, Tennessee for all the fall vibes. Green Acres has pumpkins to purchase of all shapes, sizes and colors; they also feature a corn maze and sell fall decorations. Green Acres sits on ten acres of land.

The Todd Family Fun Farm and Corn Maze is located in Dyer, Tennessee. The farm is owned and operated by a couple born and raised in rural Tennessee. The farm and maze include educational checkpoints that highlight farm life and its vital role in our life.

On Oct. 31, the Martin Public Library will host the Martin Great Pumpkin Parade at 3:30 p.m. The parade route will begin at the library and travel downtown, with local businesses giving away free candy. Come dressed in your Halloween costume and enjoy the fun!

There are also many fun autumn activities you can partake in from the comfort of your own home or dorm. Leaf painting, pumpkin carving and roasting pumpkin seeds are all fun fall activities for the homebodies.

Many also take advantage of their kitchens this year to try new fall recipes such as soup, pie and the more recently popular pumpkin spiced latte. Hot chocolate, coffee, and apple cider are all fall favorites.

Some love to upgrade their wardrobe in the fall; taking advantage of the fall’s seasonal sales and buying some new fall apparel. There are several outlets in Martin, including Sugar and Spice Clothing + Shoe Store located on Broadway.
