Editorial: Pacer looks forward to Homecoming

Chyler- I’m looking forward to the Homecoming football game against Gardner Webb this Saturday. I’m also excited to see the results on the Homecoming court at halftime of the game.

Sarah T.- I’m looking forward to my last homecoming as a Skyhawk! More specifically, I am anticipating my parents coming to watch the homecoming game with me. Rope pull is also one of my favorite events of the week.

Erika- I’m ready to photograph my last homecoming! Genuinely, I am excited to experience all the things I have gotten to help with leading up to homecoming, like helping create the music video that University Relations posted. I even got to be in it!

Izzy- I’m personally looking forward to experiencing my first homecoming! I’m really excited to see all the different activities they are going to have as well.

Chloe- I’m looking forward to the outcome of the Homecoming football game. This being my first UT Martin Homecoming, I am excited to see all the traditional events take place.

Adrianna- I’m looking forward to my first quad city because last year I was sick and missed it. I am also really excited for the football game!

JJ- I’m looking forward to quad city and the NPHC step show.

Mekenzie- I’m really looking forward to interacting with other students and seeing all the creative table setups at Quad City!

Miranda- I’m excited to see all the student’s participation throughout all of the events.

Ashlyn- As a freshman I do not know a lot about what homecoming week consists of.  From what I have been able to see, I thought that the crowd that the rope pull brought together was neat.  I am excited to see what the rest of the week consists of.

Tamera- I’m most excited for the Ruby Bridges event. Having someone who has been as influential as Ruby Bridges come to UT Martin is going to be an amazing opportunity to experience!

Bethany- As someone who has lived in the area her whole life, I have been to many different homecoming events over the years. The event I always look forward to is Quad City, it’s always very fun and its nice to see all the organizations, departments and colleges with their tents and see what they have.

Connor- I am heading to the NFL London games through the College of Business so I will not be here for homecoming. While I will not be there, I am looking forward to seeing how our football team plays this game and how they build off of last week’s win.

Marques- I am looking forward to meeting alumni and also watching the NPHC Stepshow and seeing all of the performances.

Trenton- Quad City is always my favorite part of homecoming week. Other than the organization fair, Quad City is the best place to see all the organizations on campus. It’s also really the only event not dominated by fraternities and sororities.

Nate- I am looking forward to the football game as this is a must-win game for both teams.

Aubrey- Like many others above, I am looking forward to Quad City! I am also very excited to perform with the Aviator’s Marching Band for the homecoming game’s pregame show, halftime show and pep tunes in the stands! I love the energy that our band brings to the football games.
