Kristen Brashear is a freshman Communications major with a concentration in Media Design from Cross Plains, Tennessee.
Brashear is a photographer for the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps. This last summer, she was able to travel the East Coast with the group while they were on tour.
“Marching arts has always been a big part of my life, and so has photography,” Brashear said. Her favorite thing about Drum Corps photography is “being able to capture the performers doing what they love.”
When taking pictures, she wants to capture passion and emotion in her subjects.
“I believe that (photography) is not only a way to express yourself, but also to capture other’s individuality in whatever form that may be.”
“There’s something beautiful about everyone and I love to capture that beauty.”
