Magdalena Martinez is a sophomore Vocal Music major from Medina.
Martinez has performed in all of the choir concerts since her freshman year, as well as four voice recitals and two lyric operas.
“I have always been interested in music and performing, but it was really my high school private voice teacher that trained me correctly and got me hooked on this being something I would do as a career,” Martinez said.
After graduation, Martinez plans on pursuing her master’s and a doctoral degree to become a collegiate choir teacher and conductor.
“Music is my path for life, a career choice, a hobby and an outlet for expressing myself,” Martinez said.
You can hear Martinez sing in the Spring Choral Concert at 3 p.m. March 31 in the Blankenship Recital Hall.
