Ben Greer is a senior Communications major from Jackson.
Greer got his start in photography after joining the yearbook his senior year of high school thinking the class would make his senior year easy.
“I thought I would just take some basic pictures and call it a day, but it quickly turned into one of the most important and formative things in my life,” Greer said.
Greer started to perfect his craft and became a photo intern for UTM, working in University Relations.
He uses photography as a storytelling platform.
“Photography is a heart warming look into intimate moments in peoples lives where they bare themselves to a piece of metal and glass,” Greer said. “Photography lets people heal in times of loss and look at the images that lead them out of a dark spot.”
To view one of Greer’s photos, you can go the Art Gallery in the Fine Arts Building and see his photo displayed in the student art show, “Kit and Caboodle”.
