With the climactic ending of the Avengers saga from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) hitting theaters officially this Friday, April 26, fans are still left with many questions. Several theories have been proposed by fans, ranging from Iron Manās death to Ant-man defeating Thanos.
One popular theory proposes Bruce Banner will transform into the Hulk to take on Thanos if Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow, is in danger. This theory is plausible due to Bannerās relationship with Romanoff dating back to Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Perhaps the most plausible theory would be use of time travel by the Avengers to defeat Thanos. Scenes from the released trailers show what appears to be early era costumes up against an unrecognizable background.
Some fans theorize that Thanosās adopted daughter, Nebula, will be the one to save everyone that vanished with Thanosās snap. Although this is unlikely as Nebula didnāt make an appearance in any released trailer, and she is still trapped in the soul stone.
One of the strongest theories heading into Avengers: Endgame is that Tony Stark, better known as Iron Man, will die. The evidence here is the fact that Robert Downey Jr., the actor that plays Tony Stark, doesnāt have any more contracts with the MCU following Avengers: Endgame.
Others propose that Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America, will ultimately die in Avengers: Endgame. Fans theorize his death would be in battle against Thanos, while others view him as too instrumental to the MCU to lose.
Several fans are expecting the return of most, if not all of theheroes that vanished with Thanosās snap. Spider-Man is expected to make a return because a movie featuring Spider-Man, Spiderman: Far From Home, has already been confirmed with a trailer released.
Another plausible theory would be that Thanos is defeated early in the movie, and the Avengersā main challenge is finding how to reverse the effects of the snap posthumously.
Whether the Avengers will save the day or Thanos will rule the universe is just speculation until Friday.
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters with advanced screenings on Thursday, April 25.
