On February 3rd, 2025, the music department at The University of Tennessee at Martin hosted an ABD Brass Quintet Recital for musicians to showcase their talents to students, staff and invited guest. The quintet included Maryna Pohlman and Seth Marshall on trumpet, Mikayla McCommas on horn, Peter Bye on trombone and Sam Salazar on tuba. They performed select pieces of music by Enrique Crespo, Gabriel Grovlez, Calixa Lavallee and Lew Pollack. The brass quintet was performed in our very own Blankenship Recital Hall. It was jazz saturated music and a very enjoyable time for the audience that was in attendance.
