Laughs filled the Watkins Auditorium on Thursday, Sept. 29 due to the comedy styling of Ronnie Jordan.
Ronnie Jordan, an Atlanta native, was the featured comedian at the Student Activities Council’s 9:09 comedy series.
Students had nothing but overwhelming things to say about the life-mocking comedian.
“The show was amazing! I had a great time and Ronnie Jordan was surprisingly great!! My throat hurts from laugh so hard,” said Marshea Meeks, Health and Human Performance Senior.
“This was my first 9:09 comedy show and this was a great one! He was very funny and I would love to see him again,” said Bianca Jones, Elementary Education Sophomore.
His comedy style was a mixture of many things; Jordan even incorporated his own written comedy songs mocking his love for food.
The Atlanta comedian has been featured on shows such as BET’s Comic View, Martin Lawrence Presents the 1st Amendment Stand-up, P. Diddy Presents Bad Boys of Comedy and was the host of the successful Atlanta based video show, Oomp Camp Live.
Jordan has graced the stage with fellow comedy stars like Rickey Smiley, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake, Mike Epps, Arnez J. and Dave Chappelle just to name a few.
Jordan was also the opening act for the Queens of Comedy standup show/movie featuring top female comics Sommore, Monique and Adelle Givens.
Jordan is currently touring the nation’s college and universities on his “College Material Tour” with the Auburn Moon Agency.
Jordan has expanded his self-brand in to t-shirts, backpacks and DVDs. His fan base on Twitter and Facebook, known as the anti-lame society, has rapidly growing. Jordan’s star is becoming more and more bright as he gains more and more recognition for his hilarious act.
