2025 NFL mock draft 1.0: Titans and Raiders land QBs; Hunter to the Giants

The NFL season has officially concluded with the Eagles’ dominant win over the reigning champion Chiefs in New Orleans.

Now that the draft order is official, I will make my first set of predictions. This mock does not include trade predictions. Night one of the draft is set for April 24 at 7 p.m.

  1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

The Will Levis era is officially finished. Head coach Brian Calahan will have an opportunity to pick his quarterback. In a class with not a lot of high quality quarterback prospects, the Titans land the hyper athletic Ward.

  1. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, DE, Penn State

Now that Myles Garrett has officially requested a trade away from the Browns stating he wants to play for a true contender, Cleveland will draft his potential replacement. While I do think a trade will eventually get done, the Browns still land the most talented player in the draft at a premium position.

  1. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

The New York football Giants are in desperate need of a QB. GM Joe Schoen and HC Brian Daboll jobs are on the line and the duo has to address QB before draft night. I believe they will add a veteran and give him another great weapon in Travis Hunter to pair with Nabers.

  1. New England Patriots: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

The Patriots roster is so depleted that they do not have the luxury of drafting wants. Vrabel adds the top interior defensive lineman in the draft. Graham becomes the cornerstone of this new era in Foxborough.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Liam Coen in his first draft as the Jaguars HC now gets to build an offense around his scheme. He gets to pair a highly skilled Tet McMillan with a 2nd year receiver in Brian Thomas Jr.. The clock has officially started on Trevor Laurence.

  1. Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

This just feels right. Sanders’ relationship with Raiders minority owner Tom Brady is well established. The Raiders land their potential franchise QB in Sanders, who is the most pro-ready QB prospect in this class. Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly will be tasked with making life easy for the young Sanders.

  1. New York Jets: Will Campbell, OL, LSU

Aaron Glenn got to see first-hand how to build a team from the trenches outward throughout his time in Detroit. The Jets take the best offensive linemen in the draft in Campbell. There are disagreements on if Campbell can play OT at the professional level. Either way, Campbell projects to be a longtime starter.

  1. Carolina Panthers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

The Panthers secondary needs serious help and they get it in one of the best players in the entire NFL draft. Johnson has the potential to finish his first season as a pro in the upper echelon of cornerbacks with all-pro potential on day one.

  1. New Orleans Saints: Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia

At this moment in time, this draft selection is the hardest to predict. While the expectation is Kellen Moore will be named the next HC, nothing is certain. The Saints are in need of a massive reset and could go in multiple different directions on draft night. I have them selecting Williams and giving him the chance to be the cornerstone of the next great Saints defense.

  1. Chicago Bears: Shemar Stewart, DE, Texas A&M

Ben Johnsonā€™s first draft as Bears HC starts by adding the most explosive pass rusher in the draft. Stewart, who had a great senior bowl week, now lands opposite of Montez Sweat in the first year of Dennis Allen as the play caller.

  1. San Francisco 49ers: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama
  2. Dallas Cowboys: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
  3. Miami Dolphins: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
  4. Indianapolis Colts: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
  5. Atlanta Falcons: Jalon Walker, LB/DE, Georgia
  6. Arizona Cardinals: Nic Scourton, DE, Texas A&M
  7. Cincinnati Bengals: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
  8. Seattle Seahawks: Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas
  9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: James Pearce Jr., DE, Tennessee
  10. Denver Broncos: Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
  11. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jahdae Barron, S, Texans
  12. Los Angeles Chargers: Mathew Golden, WR, Texas
  13. Green Bay Packers: Mike Green, DE, Marshall
  14. Minnesota Vikings: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
  15. Houston Texans: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
  16. Los Angeles Rams: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
  17. Baltimore Ravens: Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
  18. Detroit Lions: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
  19. Washington Commanders: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
  20. Buffalo Bills: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
  21. Kansas City Chiefs: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
  22. Philadelphia Eagles: Jonah Savaiinaea, OL, Arizona
