Hold on to your pumpkins; Freeform is making Halloween 31 days long this year.
Halloween lovers can rejoice as, according to People, premium channel television Freeform is extending its Halloween marathon from the unlucky number 13 to 31, a day for each month of October.
The marathon kicks off on Oct. 1 with a showing of ParaNorman.
The marathon will primarily focus on Halloween-specific holiday movies like Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Monster’s Inc. and so on rather than on another popular Halloween genre: horror.
Hocus Pocus appears to be a favorite of Freeform, as not only does the film appear often throughout the month, the marathon leads up to a Hocus Pocus marathon on Halloween itself.
While the decision to extend the marathon was met with a lot of praise, Freeform also received backlash for the omission of certain fan-favorite films.
According to PhillyVoice, popular staples of the marathon like Casper, Beetlejuice and Sleepy Hollow have been omitted from the lineup.
Freeform no longer holds the rights to these films. The Harry Potter films are also missing due to Freeform no longer having the rights after a deal that cost NBCUniversal millions of dollars.
However, The Witches of Eastwick will be added to the lineup, among others.
All in all, Freeform still has enough movies to fill 31 days, which is a treat for both lovers of movies and Halloween.
However, the network has not yet confirmed if the format will remain at 31 days as opposed to 13 for future Halloween months.
