It’s that time of the year where college students are bombarded with classwork and final exams while trying to manage their social life. The stress becomes overwhelming to endure for not only students but faculty as well. However, there are methods to ease the tension and take away the pressure. So, never fear summer is almost near! Here are ten ways to relieve stress from finals.
If you’re an avid reader then grab your favorite book and go into a deep dive. Get lost in a plot twist and another world that doesn’t revolve around school. The ‘Twilight’ book series by Stephanie Meyer is a favorite among young adults nowadays but choose something that is of interest to you.
Be one with the universe and try yoga or meditation. It’s a good way to clear your mind and loosen the muscles in your body. Go to the rec center located on campus and try a workout routine! Exercise is one of the common ways to release steam and relieve stress. You also don’t have to do it alone, grab a buddy and make it a group activity. Not in the mood to work out? Hang out with friends or family without the sweat. Prefer to be alone and want time for yourself? Listen to your preferred music genre or catch up on some well-needed sleep. Journaling is a good way to decompress your thoughts and share your feelings either on your day or anything in general. Also, preparing a yummy meal can satisfy your taste buds.
